May 2019 Book Selection

This month’s book selection is Their Eyes Were Watching God by Zora Neale Hurston. This nonfiction novel explores the life of Janie Crawford as she transitions from a girl to a woman and has inspired the film sharing the same name. Their Eyes Were Watching God, the film, stars Halle Berry, Michael Ealy, and Terrence Howard and has won several awards (including three Emmy awards), celebrating its brilliance.
