This month’s book selection is Lessons in Chemistry by Bonnie Garmus. It’s a novel that tells the story of a young woman pursuing her passion for science in the 1960s. The protagonist, Elizabeth, faces challenges and discrimination as a woman in the male-dominated field of chemistry, but she perseveres and continues to pursue her dreams.

The book explores themes of identity, love, and the pursuit of knowledge, and it offers a glimpse into the world of scientific research during a transformative time in history.
